🦌 Wildlife at Timber Valley Retreat

Some of the most memorable moments at Timber Valley Retreat aren't planned—they simply happen when you slow down and let nature reveal itself.

Across our 100-acre woodland retreat, guests frequently encounter graceful white-tailed deer, playful fawns, colorful songbirds, butterflies, rabbits, frogs, and many other native species. Every season brings something new to discover, making each visit a unique outdoor experience.

One of the reasons our property supports such a variety of wildlife is our commitment to conservation. Native warm-season grasses, including Big Bluestem, along with thriving wildflower habitats, provide food, shelter, and nesting areas for birds, butterflies, bees, and countless other creatures.

Our advice is simple:

Slow down. Walk softly. Take time to look around.

You may see the wildlife before they see you.

We also invite every guest to help us protect this special place. Please leave wildflowers where they bloom, allow native plants to thrive, and never remove a plant, animal, or other living species from its natural habitat. Together, we can preserve these woodlands for future generations to enjoy.
