For those of you who aren't familiar with this incredible fruit, you're in for a treat. The Paw Paw (Asimina triloba) is North America's largest edible native fruit. Often described as a creamy, custardy delight, its flavor is a unique and delicious blend of mango, banana, and a hint of melon. It's a taste of the wild, and it's a taste of fall in our neck of the woods. Here at Timber Valley, our Paw Paw patches are abundant, and this year, the trees are heavy with ripe fruit. Walking through the woods, you can often catch the sweet, tropical scent before you even see the fruit on the ground.
