Glamping Review 5 Star Timber Valley Retreat in Clear Spring Maryland Best time ever Booked this place for a family get away/reunion. I wanted to give this place a one star rating for accuracy of the listing. This place is more special than what the listing describes.  It starts with the tour of the cabins and the amenities with Tom the Host. There are so many little hiking trails that lead to the pond and an a spot the we called the Hobbit area. Its filled with tall moss covered rocks and is rumored to be where the local Mennonites used to go to stay cool. Wildlife from birds to frogs to ducks to groundhogs to deer were seen throughout our time there, literally Trains to Cranes.  During one of our hikes the grandkids found a grounded redtail hawk. Wildlife sanctuary came and got her. We were very secluded even with the canal less than a stone's throw away.  The facilities had everything you would need except charcoal.
