Ryan and three other small families recently spent time at Timber Valley Retreat, with children ranging in age from 9 to 13. His 5-star review shared such a wonderful picture of what a family group stay here can be. They enjoyed the spacious cabins, cold air conditioning, and plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. Then came the fun. The kids and adults enjoyed cold plunges in our spring-fed pond, followed by a full day on the Potomac River with a flotilla of rafts. And then there was the thunderstorm. Everyone gathered together under the tin awning, listening to the rain while staying perfectly dry.
